During my workshop I will be offering a water tasting: a sensory examination and evaluation of water. We will be tasting different types of water (still, sparkling, super low/low/medium/high/very high minerality) and talk through them individually. During this event guests will be able to experience a new approach to drinking water (from tap to bottled) and test their ability to recognise the differences. The event would offer the participants the opportunity to discover uncommon tastes from far away springs and share their experience and opinions in an informal and entertaining athmosphere.
I was born on the island of Sardinia, one of the five Blue Zones in the world and one of the richest for the presence of holy ancient wells and springs. Deeply passionate about the many facets of water and amazed by the variety and abundance of water resources in Italy, I started exploring this vital element from a very early age. I hold a Master’s Degree in Archaeology and a PgD in Ancient Languages from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. As a contributor to the Ministry of Culture in Italy, I have been focusing on the history of water and its significance to ancient cultures.
I became a certified Water Sommelier in 2007 and am a member of the Italian Water Sommelier Association (ADAM) and the Italian Sensory Science Society (SISS). Currently based in London, I works as an author and a water ambassador with educational purposes, in collaboration with several institutions and secondary schools.
