Founded in 2014, we are a remote, virtual outsourced accounting firm that specializes in eCommerce accounting. Small and medium-sized businesses hire us to become the accounting department or to work with their existing finance team. eCommerce is a new realm of accounting, and we are one of the few that are specializing in this area. We provide each client with an accounting team to perform the following: analyze data for a client's eCommerce and Inventory services, consultations, create financial statements, invoicing, bill payments, budgeting, bookkeeping, financial analysis and more.

Experience with QuickBooks, small business accounting, or eCommerce business would be a major plus.

As a remote eCommerce accountant for LedgerGurus, you will work directly with many of our clients. You will handle a variety of eCommerce tasks for each client such as calculating sales, returns, discounts, and reconcile sales figures between sales channels and payment processors, assist in calculating cost of goods sold and inventory balances each month, and process vendor invoices and bills and review and prepare them for payment. This is in addition to regular finance tasks such as transaction coding, bank and credit card reconciliations, AP documentation, customer invoicing, payroll processes, maintaining fixed asset schedules, month-end and year-end close, and 1099 filings. You will communicate with clients through e-mail or video conferencing to help explain problems and issues when they arise, as well as communicate across teams to collect correct information and problem solve. You will need to be able to troubleshoot problems independently.

You will be trained by a dedicated manager, as well as collaborate with several accounting managers who will use the numbers you produce. You will be trained, learn, and grow within the company. This role puts you on the path to grow into an Accounting Manager at LedgerGurus. You will learn about the novelties of eCommerce accounting and always work remotely.

You will analyze financial data and support the clients and accounting managers on your team while making sure data is completed accurately and on time. You will have the flexibility to set up meetings and work on client assignments of your choosing within normal business hours. This accounting position offers part-time work at 20+ hours a week with the ability to grow into full-time hours if desired. We offer flexible scheduling with the ability to schedule work at any time during normal business hours. All of our employees work remotely from home!
