Position Description:

The Associate Director, Operations will lead financial operations for the Corporate Affairs team, serving as the team’s financial representative and providing counsel on budget priorities to the Corporate Affairs leadership team. In particular, this individual will oversee the budget for the Corporate Communications team, ensuring team spending is properly recorded and aligns with previously established goals and priorities that fit within the financial framework of the broader Company.

Reporting to the Director, Communications Center of Excellence, this individual will also serve as the project management officer for the Center of Excellence, providing management and oversight of all work sourced through our Company’s agency and contract resources, as well as leading the staffing process for special projects as they arise.

The Associate Director, Operations will partner across teams and functions, while exhibiting strong attention to detail and superior project management skills. This individual will also possess the ability to professionally collaborate with and instruct employees at all levels up to our executive team.

Scope of work and core responsibilities includes:

  • Oversee the budget for the Corporate Communications team.

  • Provide counsel on budget priorities to the Corporate Affairs leadership team.

  • Serve as the project management officer for the Center of Excellence.

  • Provide management and oversight of all agency and contract resources.

  • Lead the staffing process for special projects as they arise.

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of communications and/or operations experience.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Min 3 to 5 years of experience working as an Operations Manager in a multinational communications role.

  • Previous experience with Project management & enabling team success (Design thinking methodologies).

  • Proven financial acumen including financial training, annual planning, forecasting and bandwidth tracking etc.

  • Experience working directly with executive team members and supporting senior leaders with cross-functional collaboration across a communications organization.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, competing deadlines and high-pressure situations.

  • Possess strong organization, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Attention to detail, particularly around numbers, grammar, spelling and sourcing of facts.

  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience partnering with and managing agency resources is preferred.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$118,640.00 - $186,800.00
