Actively participate, engage, and promote Foundation with community partners including but not limited to: Chambers of Commerce, service organizations, etc. Project Management
Provide general project management related to all Foundation functions.
Oversee the implementation of all communications including campaign materials, weekly eChatter, digital marketing, special promotions, materials related to end-of-year appeal and capital campaign projects in coordination with the Director of Fund Development and Director of Community Engagement.
Oversee the creation of the annual report including timeline, communication with Zoo staff on content creation and final review for production in coordination with the Director of Community Engagement.
Act as liaison to the Zoo's Master Plan Design Committee for discussion and decisions related to Zoo exhibits and implementation of new projects related to the Zoo's Master Plan.
Fund and Donor Development:
In conjunction with the Director of Fund Development and Director of Community Engagement, identify and cultivate major sponsors for events and oversee the Annual Sponsorship Program.
In conjunction with the Director of Fund Development, identify and cultivate major donors.
Develop fundraising appeals as needed each year in conjunction with the Director of Fund Development and Director of Community Engagement.
Grant writing throughout the year for small grants to support operations to large state and federal grants for major projects, in conjunction with the Director of Fund Development.
Oversee and develop campaigns such as the Redwood Sky Walk Perpetual Fund created for on-going maintenance of the Redwood Sky Walk, in conjunction with the Director of Fund Development.
Oversee Memorial and Recognition programs. Encourage Planned Giving in conjunction with the Director of Fund Development.
Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in administration, business or another related field is preferred but not required.
Minimum 5 years' experience working on successful fundraising programs in a non-profit organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Past success working with a Board of Directors and the ability to identify and cultivate new board member candidates.
Experience with capital campaigns and a thorough understanding of fundraising strategies, including how to "ask" donors for major gifts.
Knowledgeable and comfortable working with donor management software.
Experience with developing and following budgets.
Strong leadership, public speaking, and time management/organizational skills.
Must be positive, self-motivated, and a self-starter.
Must be detail-oriented with excellent organization and ability to manage concurrent projects.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Personal vehicle and valid CA driver’s license preferred.
Physical Activity/Environment Requirements:
Requires good manual dexterity and fine motor coordination, good vision, physical mobility, and flexibility. Continuous sitting, some standing and walking necessary. Work is performed in an office environment via stair access. This position requires frequent computer use and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Compensation:
Up to $70,000 Depending on Experience. This is a 40-hours+ per week full time salaried position including paid holidays, vacation, and medical benefits available through Foundation. Mileage reimbursement made at the Federal Mileage rate.
