Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. As an HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various HR functions within our organization. You will be responsible for handling a wide range of HR activities, including but not limited to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and HR policy enforcement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR operations, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Coordinate the recruitment process from job posting to candidate selection.
  • Conduct interviews, assess candidate qualifications, and make hiring recommendations.
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding, including orientation sessions and paperwork completion.

Employee Relations:

  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances.
  • Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolutions between employees and management.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters.

Performance Management:

  • Administer performance appraisal processes and assist in developing performance improvement plans.
  • Monitor and track employee performance reviews and goal-setting activities.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify training and development needs for employees.

Benefits Administration:

  • Oversee employee benefits programs, including healthinsurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
  • Work closely with benefits providers to ensure accurate and timely administration.

HR Policy and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to recommend improvements in HR policies and processes.

HR Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Generate HR reports and analytics to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of HR information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

  • Michigan: Relocate before starting work (Required)
