What You Will Do: Role Purpose
The Technical Learning Operations and Knowledge Specialist plays a key part in enhancing the technical competencies of our associates by developing and delivering training programs that align with our organization’s core values. You will be responsible for conducting training needs assessments, designing engaging curriculum and learning materials, and overseeing all aspects of training methodologies. Additionally you will play an integral role in supporting the enhancement and roll out of our ITIL Knowledge management processes. Your primary objective will be to help boost associate performance and drive professional growth within our organization. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify training needs and develop targeted solutions to address gaps. You will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and recommending necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement. Ideally, you should have a strong passion for learning and development, excellent instructional design skills, the ability to effectively communicate and engage with associates at all levels and familiarity with ITIL Knowledge Management.. Creativity, attention to detail and organizational abilities will be critical in delivering impactful training initiatives.
Functional Responsibilities
  • Serves customers as a key point of contact. Manages customer expectations and ensures prompt and complete customer service. Forms productive networks with internal and external customers and the vendor community. Produces project plans, RFP's, and RFI's. Customizes presentations to the interests of the audience.
  • Conducts diagnosis of most business problems. Designs, directs and performs analyses to resolve complex first-time project issues including analysis of technical and economic feasibility of proposed system solutions.
  • Designs projects with broad implications requiring systems integration of one or more technical platforms. Leads design sessions by presenting logical statements of business problems and designs.
  • Participates in the design of technical requirements for the application/solution.
  • Serves as a staff resource and mentor regarding understanding of architectural systems.
    Participates in the development of programs that are AT specific and relevant to lines of business and corporate functions.
  • Serves as subject matter expert as it relates to training content development and delivery processes.
  • Assesses organizational or individual training needs.
  • Translate requirements into trainings that will groom associates for the next step of their career path.
  • Build annual certification program for AT-Specific processes.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of training programs and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinates training deployment activities for Ascension Technologies.
  • Develop or oversee the production of training content and delivery using different learning methodologies.
  • Direct structured learning experiences and monitor results
    Acclimate new hires to the the organization and lead orientation sessions.
  • Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into daily work behavior.
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they stay current.
  • Stay abreast of the new trends, tools and technology in associate development.

  • Serves as project/technical lead for ongoing process or short-term project within function or family
Work Experience
  • 3 years of experience preferred
  • 3+ years in Education, Training, HR or related field.
  • Experience in ITIL ITSM processes, particularly Knowledge management preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
  • Healthcare and/or IT provider industry experience is helpful
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management software
  • Proficiency in Google and training design software (i.e. Articulate)
  • Demonstrated presentation skills and audience engagement

What You Will Need: Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
