RVP & GM Sales New York Commercial

Location: Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and in-office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. This leadership role will take part in the hybrid workforce strategy which includes virtual work and in office days 3 or more times per week. May be located within 50-miles or less to an Elevance Health PulsePoint office in New York preferably in New York City.

Summary

Position will be responsible for leading Empire’s growth and improving its market position in the commercial New York market. This role will lead both sales and strategic planning for the local market commercial business exclusive of Labor. Position will be accountable directly to the New York Plan President charged with overseeing the daily execution of the commercial market strategy and have accountability for growth in this market segment.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead creation of near-term and long-term strategy for commercial business in NY, clearly articulating and detailing strategic initiatives and priorities across the appropriate time horizons.

  • Delivering on growth and OpGain targets for the commercial business by driving execution of strategic initiatives across all commercial business segments – Large Group Upstate, Large Group Downstate, Small Group, PEO, & Individual markets.

  • Coordinate with shared service partners to meet performance goals.

  • Lead a high-performance culture and set a culture of accountability through comprehensive talent and career development and application of performance and management metrics

  • Proactively work with distribution channel to build Empire’s brand recognition in the marketplace.

Position Requirements

Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 8 years of leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Experience in the health insurance industry required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences

  • 10-15+ years of progressive sales and marketing experience for commercial segments in health insurance.

  • Demonstrated/deep experience in leading design and execution of commercial strategies for one or multiple segments.

  • Experience managing the performance and operations of multiple segments and investment/initiatives.

  • Demonstrated track record in leading/managing a sales team with a consistent growth trend.

  • Strategic thinking and demonstrated organizational leadership capabilities.

Corporate Title: RVP I Sales

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $162,320.00 to $292,176.00
