Employers who only conduct interviews over text or email may not be legitimate, so it's important to do your research before proceeding. Trustworthy job postings will never ask for your social security number or other sensitive information before hiring you. If an employer requests payment from you for any reason, it's likely a scam. Before applying for any job, make sure to research the company to ensure that it's a place where you can thrive and succeed. Double-check that you're on the correct URL to avoid potential harm. Be on the lookout for job postings that use fake or unverified job postings to lure applicants into applying for a fraudulent job opportunity. Consider using a separate email account for job-related communications to keep your personal and professional correspondence organized and secure. Be on the lookout for job postings that require you to use your personal bank account for any reason.
