This 3 month consultancy will primarily support the organization's new grant-related activities providing online, simulation-based and other training for the largely female, low-income, and minority workforce of certified nurse and home health aides.

  • Develop an iterative plan for quality assurance and improvement throughout the project, based on data. Monitor project activities against timeline activities.
  • Design and conduct a data inventory to inform the monitoring and evaluate efforts.
  • Integrate data security measures for PII involved in the project.
  • Conduct mixed methods research, analyzing data to gather insights from quantitative and qualitative data collected from users
  • Seek out, apply, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from a variety of sources to inform improvement efforts
  • Design survey instruments and other data collection tools and systems, evaluations, and assessments.
  • Coordinate data collection with other team members and consortium partners to monitor the quality of data collected, and analyze and interpret data.
  • Monitor community social media, and other outreach and recruiting.
  • Contribute to quality assurance of learner content, resources, and translations.
  • Track progress and synthesize data into reports
  • Conduct monitoring, evaluation, and analysis of performance and quality of grant-related efforts throughout grant period, including reach, engagement, satisfaction, completion rates, learner performance, confidence, and feedback, outreach, cultural competence, and more.
  • Hold regular data review, grant performance improvement meetings with key team members to help the teams interpret, understand, and address userfeedback.
  • Draft final progress report, project participation lists, full summary of project performance, case studies, lessons learned, and more.


The timeline for this project is extremely short and requires a consultant with considerable mixed methods research and grant-related experience and specific familiarity with virtual clinical simulations for healthcare worker training.

  • Ph.D. in a quantitative social science discipline (Experimental skills a plus. )
  • Extensive experience designing and conducting qualitative research and analyzing and interpreting quantitative research data (15+ years)
  • Experience designing and conducting qualitative research (5+ years)
  • Grant-related experience (grant oversight experience a plus) (5+ years)
  • Formal experience with customer satisfaction survey development, customer service/experience research, and analysis of results
  • Research experience relevant to low-income, racial and ethnic minorities, or other marginalized populations.
  • Must have experience with virtual, clinical simulations for healthcare worker clinical training (CNA simulation experience a huge plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience with statistical analysis software such as SPSS or Excel for data analysis. (15+ years)
  • Must be able to use statistical tests, to examine project performance and quality improvement efforts including descriptive statistics, univariate tests, ANOVA, and various correlation and regression tools and techniques.
  • Must have data visualization skills.
