Home Instead is seeking an On-Call Supervisor-After Hours Coordinator who is focused on providing remarkable service to our care professionals and clients after hours. The main deliverable of the position is to assist care professionals and clients with urgent and emergent matters that take place after hours, including filling open shifts related to call offs, providing assistance with transportation, providing directions, coaching and reviewing care plans, assisting with missed clock in and out, collecting information from potential new clients and care professionals, and problem resolution for both care professionals and clients. Using independent judgment and discretion to assess needs is critical for this role.

Each On-Call Supervisor takes call for 3-5 offices, which equates to roughly 300 care professionals and 300 clients. Currently, there are 5 on call supervisors that cover 15 offices, so multiple On- Call Supervisors are working at one time.

This is a fast paced position, especially on weekends from Friday 5:00pm-Monday 8:00am and on Holidays.

The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 5:00 pm - 8:00 am (with one day off per week) and weekends 6:00am 9:00pm. The schedule also includes all Holidays, but allows for 20 days off per year and your birthday as a paid day off too!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the creation and maintenance of client and care professional schedules with an emphasis on creating high quality matches.
  • Place suitable care professionals with clients based on care professional call-ins or client’s needs. This includes managing care professional overtime.
  • Refer concerns regarding care professional assignments and hours worked to each specific office including the General Manager.
  • Document client and care professional calls including call-ins, missed clock-ins and concerns.
  • Coordinate introductions between new clients and care professionals and use discretion to achieve optimum utilization of care professionals.
  • Negotiate availability and shift assignments with care professionals.
  • Schedule transportation to and from shifts using Uber and Lyft.
  • Coach care professionals on avariety of issues including interpretation and administration of client care plans, company policies, procedures and new service inquiries.
  • Ensure quality care by identifying and following through on opportunities to increase service hours.
  • Utilize independent judgment to problem solve care professional and client and staffing concerns.
  • Accurately log activity in the Home Instead Operating System, Wellsky.
  • Participate in care professional, administrative, and other meetings as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred associate degree and scheduling experience with care professionals.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in software applications, such as Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and use sound judgment and discretion successfully.
  • Ability to influence and persuade others with confidence, integrity and diplomacy.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a home environment but will need to live within one hour from any of our 15 locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. Occasional travel up to 10% may be required.
