Before you start your job search online, it's important to keep in mind some key tips to ensure a safe and successful job search. If you're unsure whether the job posting is real or not, call the company to verify it. Keep in mind that legitimate employers will typically conduct interviews and background checks before offering you a job. Be wary of job postings that ask you to use your personal bank account to handle company funds. Avoid job postings that require you to buy something or join a program to get started. If an employer requires you to pay a fee to process your job application, it is likely a scam. To avoid working for a company that has a poor work-life balance or toxic work culture, research the organization before applying for any job. A legitimate employer will usually schedule an in-person or phone interview with you, not just a text or email exchange. If a potential employer asks you to sign a non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement before an interview, review it carefully and ask questions if necessary.
