Job Description:

FSH is seeking an experienced, innovative, and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist who will play a key role in First Stop Health’s success. To be successful in this role, this person will not only need to have the required HR business acumen but also be a self-starter who can work with pace in a changing, growing work environment.

The ideal candidate will need to have strong communication skills and be very detail oriented as they will collaborate, support and impact the success of entire Human Resources offerings at FSH. This work will be achieved through their administration and or support of several critical human resources functions. The areas of impact in HR they will have include talent acquisition and onboarding, total absence management, benefits, compensation, payroll, employee relations, HRIS/File management, learning, compliance, and culture/DEIB.

Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, resume/candidate screening, and scheduling interviews

  • Coordinate and conduct new employee orientations and facilitate the onboarding process

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support as needed

  • Assist in the resolution of employee relations issues and conflicts

Total Rewards:

  • Facilitate benefit enrollment for new hires and help own annual open enrollment process

  • Reconcile monthly benefit bills in partnership with Accounting/Finance team

  • Assist employees with benefits-relatedquestions and issues

  • Support ongoing and annual compensation efforts

Payroll/HRIS:

  • Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations

  • Maintain HRIS records and generate reports as needed

  • Own employee file management

  • Maintains internal HR site

Compliance and Policy Administration:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

  • Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures

Learning and Development:

  • Track and report on all required learning and development trainings offered

Culture:

  • Contribute to the development and promotion of a positive company culture

  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events

  • Facilitate rewards and recognition

  • Support all employee offered survey efforts, including the annual Employment Engagement survey

Other:

  • Facilitate all offboarding activities.

  • Work closely with Chief of Staff and other leaders to support company planned onsite events for employees

  • Maintain and improve processes by following standards, policies, and procedures, as well as recommending new approaches

  • Stay informed on related industry trends, news stories, and the competitive landscape

Advanced Skills Required in:

  • Communication

  • Interpersonal relationships

  • Organization/attention to detail/time management

  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

  • Ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Microsoft Office

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in the healthcare industry

  • Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
