Qualifications

  • HR Administrative experience: minimum of 3 to 5 years
  • Payroll Experience: minimum of 3 years using payroll software or systems such as QuickBooks (preferred), ADP, Paylocity, Paycom, etc.
  • Some college coursework or Associates Degree in Business/HR (preferred)

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for processing employee payroll, assisting with the hiring and on-boarding of new W-2 employees (including drug screens, background checks, and benefit enrollment), and the maintenance of HR records to support the HR processes, programs, and projects of the company. They will also handle onboarding, payment, and year end 1099 reporting for contractors as well as the processing of expense reports. This position will also, as time allows, fill in as Executive Assistant for the company executives, and perform some accounting tasks in QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

  • Process semi-monthly employee payrolls and contractor payments in an accurate and confidential manner using QuickBooks
  • Process semi-monthly expense reports in an accurate and confidential manner
  • Assist with the sourcing of candidates and recruitment for W-2 company positions
  • Assist with talent management by placing employment ads, pre-screening applications, scheduling interviews, processing pre-employmentpaperwork, and new hire onboarding paperwork
  • Facilitate orientation and general training of new hires in company systems as needed
  • Create new hire packets, maintain employee files, including termination and confidential files
  • Ensure the company has accurate employer verification for W-9’s, I-9s and E-Verify, as well as any required certifications or licenses; assist with I-9 audits and other compliance requirements
  • Handle sensitive matters with the utmost professionalism and confidentiality
  • Assist CFO or outside consultants with HR Projects such as benefit open enrollment, job description creation, handbook creation, and HR compliance
  • Assist with accurate data entry, maintenance of HR systems, and system reporting
  • Develop a general understanding of the company business in order to recognize company needs and best support the HR “customer”

Additional Requirements:

  • Familiarity with U.S. and State employment laws and payroll requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook at the intermediate level in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • High-level of accuracy in processing all data entry, payroll, and required reporting
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to adjust to changing priorities
  • Ability to work overtime as needed and approved
  • Self-motivated

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
