Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Airplane Delivery Documents Inspector A – 55806 to join our team in Renton/Seattle, WA. Inspectors in this position are assigned multiple production, modification and/or flight test airplanes. Inspectors will physically verify airplanes for data called out in the Aircraft Readiness Log (ARL) and/or collect documents for delivery package per contractual agenda and Airworthiness letter for regulatory requirements. Present document package to Contracts, customers, and regulatory agencies at time of airplane delivery.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the production and modification of airplanes and associated equipment established per contractual agreement.
  • Create and prepare paper and/or electronic delivery documents, or repair station per contract agenda for Boeing customers, contracts, and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain aircraft and engine historical records.
  • Perform all required inspection including physical inspection on aircraft serial numbers, including vendor codes, part numbers and MOD levels for entry into the delivery documents.
  • Position will require working in confined spaces and crawling through an opening 17.75" X 10.00".
  • Perform audit/surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes, according to specifications, process, and procedures.
  • Review completed aircraft records to obtain accurate information through use of drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Verify and inventory parts as they are installed on assigned airplanes/models for correct part number, serial number, and related data, utilizing multiple sources (e.g., visual verification, IPs, IBAS, etc.).
  • Conduct pre-document record review as required and present document package to Contracts, Customers, and Regulatory Agencies at time of delivery.
  • Box Delivered Airplane Records and send to storage/Retrieve requested records back from storage when necessary for investigations.
  • Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specification, process, and procedures.
  • This job requires access to live aircraft, and eligible candidate will be required to work in extreme weather conditions.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 isrequired. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience working with MS Office.
  • Experience using computers and learning new computer systems.
  • Willing and able to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in Inspection and Inspection Techniques

Typical Education:

High school graduate or GED preferred.
